Those of you worried about the discontinuation of Nullriver's Installer.app, have no fear. Despite the opening of the new App Store,
there will always be a couple of third-party applications that will
never make it to the online download store for one reason or another. Find out what the developer had to say about the upcoming Installer 4 in our full article. |

Mac users beware - the first ever ARDAgent-based Trojan malware was recently identified by SecureMac, compromising the security of the normally airtight Mac OS X system. Known as "AppleScript.THT", the Trojan exploits a vulnerability in the Apple Remote Desktop Agent and allows malicious users complete access to the system. More details about the Trojan can be found in our full article. |

Whispers went round since Steve Jobs unveiled the 3G iPhone that Apple had a new version of the iPhone firmware cooking in the kitchen. These whispers soon escalated to rumors that the alleged iPhone v2.0 firmware was to release before the 3G revision of Apple's revered touch phone was ready for retail. We expect that the homebrew community was looking forward to promising leads that might hint an unlockable option for the 3G iPhone, so perhaps this news bit would brighten their day: a future ZiPhone jailbreak release could do just that. |

If you put pit laptops running on the Mac OS, Windows Vista, and Linux against hackers, which OS do you think would last the longest? Apparently, it's Linux. In this year's PWN 2 OWN contest, no one was able to hack the laptop running on the Linux OS. Which of the other two went down first? Better read the full article to find out. |
