??Griffin Technology has announced a new accessory for the iPod: iFM, an FM-only receiver that allows users to listen or record FM broadcasts directly onto an iPod. The new Griffin product is apparently only the second such product available for the iPod.

Recording FM signals from the iFM only works with full-sized iPods and not with iPod minis, according to Griffin, and storage space is limited by what??s available on the host iPod.

Griffin says the iFM will work with U.S., European and Japanese FM bands and will offer six presets per band. There??s also an auto-scan function built in, the company said.

Griffin hopes to ship the first units of the iFM by late August at a price of $49.99US?
