Here are some buying tips for gadget skins. You've had your Sony PSP or Apple iPod for a year now, and you've finally got all those cool accessories, but you're tired of that dull glossy look? Well then, we'll help you change it! Believe me, if I had the money I'd buy those gold encrusted casings, but I don't, so we'll stick to those nifty PSP and iPod skins. You can buy them online at sites like DecalGirl and GameConsoleSkins, and they're usually just around 8 or 9 bucks for PSP skins and 3 to 7 bucks for the smaller iPod skins.

So, what are you looking for? A trendy look? A hardcore look? It doesn't really matter, because when they're pasted on your gizmo you can remove them just as easily.

When going for a small skin like one for the Shuffle I'd go for something simple and stylish, so it keeps the device's look and brand image (30 Seconds to Mars v2 (iPod Shuffle skin - $2.99).

This is a pefect skin for a baseball lover, and like most of the skins it's pretty funny to see too (iPod Nano skin - Baseball - $5.99). Again, if you're going to go buy a skin, it works best if the skin works with the gadget's look and design. And if you're a girl or just into fashion and all that, there are interesting skins for you too. They're not the real brand symbols obviously, but if I saw this somewhere I'd be amazed (iPod Video (5G) skin - Fashion - $6.99):

The PSP skins are a little different because it's harder to make a flat skin for all those edges and holes. That's probably why they're more expensive; the one above goes for $9.99. Nevertheless the front looks great and maybe I'll even buy one.
