iPhone Apple - Image 1Word of the wise to those who prefer using third-party iPhone programs: there's a possibility that Apple itself will host third-party iPhone and iPod touch software written with the upcoming Software Developer's Kit through its very own iTunes store courtesy of Tiny Code. Tiny Code is a developer and repository of various third-party iPhone software fixes.

Tiny Code posted the following on its website update page (until it was taken down):

Tiny Code no longer produces fixes or applications for firmware 1.1.3. We can't say much, but we are working with Apple and with their SDK for the next firmware release and SDK applications and we shouldn't be missed for long...We will no longer update our Installer.app repo for legality reasons and you should see us soon on iTunes.

Another item was taken down from Tiny Code's website: a sidebar item that indicated that they're working on FW 1.1.4 alpha 2, which possibly hints about that all third-party applications created with the SDK will only work with the next iPhone firmware update, version 1.1.4.
