Pink iPod miniA pink iPod mini which measures only four inches, became a pain in the neck for the guys over at maintenance at the Santa Clara University. For the past few months, the iconic Apple mp3 player has been the reason why the campus toilets aren't working the way they should be (use your imagination on that ha,ha!). A female student accidentally dropped her pink iPod in the toilet in the College of Arts and Sciences Building.

It got stuck in a way that maintenance crews could not get it out. First, they tried to break the iPod into pieces, but that failed. One maintenance worker even called the device "indestructible". With that, they asked for the help of an independent contractor who was able to move the thingamajig , but unfortunately it got stuck underneath the office of the Dean of Arts and Sciences.

So when that didn't work, the maintenance guys simultaneously flushed as many toilets as they could and they turned on every sink which caused a water surge which pushed the iPod into a larger more accessible pipe. The saga didn't end there, a water company was hired to blast water into the pipe in yet another attempt to get the iPod out of the pipe.

That effort worked, but at the same time, the blast of water along with a build-up of air caused geysers to burst from the second floor toilets. It was not mentioned if there were people using that toilet at that time (eeew...)! The crew was finally able to retrieve the iPod from a nearby sewage disposal point  by using a piece of rebar.

As for the girl who dropped her iPod, she has came out in the open and she won't be punished or fined. This scenario cost the university $1,000 a week to fix this problem which took months. At least, now she knows where her tuition fee was used, ha ha!

 » To answer that...

The pink iPod isn't working anymore. If you read the article, (from breaking the iPod to it being submerged in dirty water), you'd only have to use your God-given common sense to figure that out.

Thanks anyway for the inquiry.
