In a previous article we said that the Apple iPhone and OS X 10.6 Leopard is still on track with its deadline. However, Engadget's article stating that both products wouldn't be making its deadline hurt Apple's Market Cap by a whopping US$ 4 billion.

Apple's stock was really hurt by the massive selling and dropped from US$ 107.89 to US$ 103.42 in six minutes. This took out over $4 billion from AppleÂ?s market capitalization not to mention the amount of money a lot of stock investors lost. Now Engadget has already retracted their statement but the damage has already been done. A lot of angry people have been posting their thoughts on this, but from all indications it looks like Apple's been infiltrated.

The Apple stock is relatively normal now, and a lot of investors are trying to recover from this sudden drop. Hopefully this hasn't done too much damage to the company to the point where the Leopard and iPhone will actually be delayed. As of now, the iPhone is expected in late June while Leopard will be out on October.
