Apple employees have filed a class action suit against the Cupertino-based company for its alleged non-payment of overtime and meal compensations. If found guilty, Apple could be ordered to revise its compensation policies and pay retroactive wages.

Lead plaintiff David Walsh says Apple had him working over 40 hours a week without getting overtime pay. He also says he's been placed on call during weekends and denied meal allowances.

Walsh says his position in Apple as a network engineer was deliberately classified by the company as a management post to serve as an excuse to not pay him overtime. He's not alone as other employees holding similar jobs raised their cases.
