![]() Kainjow Software has released a new version of their Pod2Go software, version 1.5. ??Pod2Go turns your iPod into a PDA. Calendars, contacts, to-do's, notes, and much more can be quickly accessed. If you need a PDA but only need to view your data, Pod2Go and your iPod are a perfect match. You can also read your unread messages from Apple's Mail, or even your Stickies.? Changes in this version include: - Whenever an iPod's name is used, it is correctly loaded and displayed, the same way that iTunes does it (i.e. for Windows-formatted iPods, the file name of your iPod is usually all caps, but Pod2Go now reads the name from the iPod internally) - iCal syncing is significantly improved for Tiger. Apple has slightly improved their iCal AppleScript support, which makes accessing your calendars a little easier. I've improved the AppleScript syncing method for iCal a lot now, I'd suggest you check it out and let me know how it works (it works much smoother now) - Music and Lyrics now both access your iTunes library data, so if your iTunes library isn't in the default location, you need to select it in the main Preferences window in Pod2Go - Improved Settings menu - Fixed a bug with adding custom News feeds - Fixed a bug that caused Pod2Go to sync when an iDisk is mounted - Fixed a bug that would prevent a new note or folder from being created in the Notes utility - Fixed a bug when searching for a weather location by city and state You can read more about it on their website . You can get it in our iPod Download section. Pod2Go will run for a 15 day trial period. Each time you sync, a registration reminder note will be created on your iPod that shows how many days are left in your trial period. After the trial period is over, the application will expire. Please note, this version is free to all registered users. |
