Pictured to the right is the new fiber optic X Rocker 4.1 True Surround Sound chair, which does exactly what its name says. It's a chair slash surround sound system.Basically it's the love child of a speaker and a recliner. It's not exactly a La-Z-Boy but it had home entertainment and gaming in mind so we can do without the massage feature (for now). The new gadget was unveiled at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show, along with its X Pedestal Wireless Home Theater Chair and Wireless Evolution Chair. The chair boasts of a 4.1 sound system with built-in speakers and a subwoofer. The chair's a gadget in its own right. It has removable speakers and wireless capabilities that goes with its adjustable armrests and padded headrest. It has fiber optic surround-sound and is compatible with numerous devices. Among other things, the X Rocker is compatible with the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, even PSPs and iPods. Of course it's also compatible with other media components. Now if they can incorporate a fridge into it, we'll take two. |
