The popular shift nowadays for technology companies, apparently, is hiring foreign workers in other countries like India to handle the sometimes overwhelming task of tech support. The reasoning behind sending the jobs overseas, at least honestly, is that overseas workers are paid much less than their American counterparts, making the manpower in those countries a much more attractive option for companies across the world.

The latest company to sign on to the idea is Apple, who is apparently working on hiring 3,000 workers in India.

A state government official said the government had cleared AppleÂ?s proposal to invest in Bangalore. Â?But they are yet to reveal the extent of investment or the total employment. They should be starting operations within the next two months,Â?Â? the official said.

I, for one, oddly enough, actually enjoy talking with somebody overseas for my technical problems, but I know there are a lot of people out there who find the accent or culture too much of a barrier to overcome and see it as one extra hurdle in their search for an answer. What do you guys think about this trend, and whether there's any service benefit to us customers, as opposed to simply the wallets of corporations.

 » it will happen eventually

Yeah sure you think it is great to talk to someone with an accent when trying to fix your overpriced techno crap, but will it be just as pleasing when they out source your job to someone in a different country? When that happens I will be laughing.

 » F**k you Apple

Here is another real world example of how a rich bastard gets even more rich at the expense of his countrymen. Why not have 1,500 new jobs for AMERICANs. Well, when people don't have money to fill good old Steve's pockets, I guess he won't be too thrilled. I applaud you Jobs, from on HUMAN being to another, you know how to run a business.
