Apple to sell I-Sonic Entertainment System 2 in March - Image 1

It seems that more and more speakers are being released for Apple's iPod products. Fortunately for Polk's Audios
I-Sonic Entertainment System 2 (ES2), it's going to be sold directly in more than 170 Apple store locations and its own online store by March.

Aside from the fact that Apple will be selling this speaker system, what's really fascinating about the ES2 is that it's the world's first speakers to feature iTunes tagging for HD radio - allowing the users the ability to "bookmark" songs that they hear on the radio.

The ES2, furthermore, stores information about the tagged songs in its memory and instantly transfers these to an iPod when it's docked. When the iPod is connected to a computer, iTunes will automatically present the songs in a new playlist, letting the user to preview, buy, or download it.

With this recent development, President and CEO of Directed Electronics, the parent company of Polk Audio, Jim Minark commented:

Acceptance by Apple of Polk Audio's iPod products validates the high quality and superior performance of this brand. As a growing number of consumers prefer more sophisticated electronic entertainment devices sold at Apple's stores.

We believe Polk's products are well positioned to gain recognition rapidly in this market due to their cutting-edge innovative features and reliability. We are thrilled to have Apple as our new retail partner and look forward to a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship.

Hopefully, things will turn out for the better for the companies and for the consumers with the arrival of the I-Sonic Entertainment System 2. Never again will you have to endure the pain of missing a really good song whenever you're listening to the radio.
