The DigiTimes reports that Apple plans to launch new iPods featuring Wi-Fi by the second half of 2007. Universal Scientific Industrial is reportedly set to produce the Wi-Fi modules needed for the new iPods and Foxconn will contribute as the OEM system assembler. Don't expect to see the new Wi-Fi iPods as soon as the second half of the year starts though, because while USI will begin their shipments this April, Foxconn may only do so come the third quarter, or so the DigiTimes reports. Given that Sony and Samsung are also planning to offer similar Wi-Fi products, the feature could be mainstream by the end of the year. |

since anyway you need to plug your ipod to charge it...
I mean, everyday, when you come back, you just plug it on it's station and it charge & syncronise.
It's only usefull if you don't have the docking station...
Or if you wanna update your music just by passing through your house, usefull if you don't wanna charge your ipod everyday! :D
I suppose anyway that I'm in when it's a new function, I don't see how something more can be bad, lol. But it won't be usefull for me ( only for me maybe ).
Anyway, the best would be that Ipods could have about 100 hours of battery and wifi, so you could syncronise non-stop, anyway you wouldn't charge more than one time a week (max) :D

I'd still like to see Bluetooth implemented rather than WiFi. Wireless headphones ftw.
