Details of Apple's iPhone OS 2.1 beta download - Image 1

Not long after the release of its firmware 2.0, Apple has already released a beta version of its new iPhone OS 2.1 for developers. The firmware comes with a release of the new iPhone SDK along with several interesting GPS features, completing this special developers-centric package.

Some of the notable things in the new firmware is the addition of some nifty GPS features that will surely spice up your iPhone. These include some Core Location features that track the direction you are heading in, as well as the speed that you are traveling. It will be interesting to see what new apps this new feature will bring about in the future.

It was also noted that the new iPhone SDK can't be used to submit applications to the App Store at the moment. If you want to see the specifics of the new iPhone OS 2.1 beta, you can refer to the image above which show the details of the download.
