Apple: MacBook Air ships on schedule, Apple Tv update delayed - Image 1Here's a bit of good news and bad news for the Apple dudes regarding the MacBook Air laptop and the Apple TV update.

The good news is that the MacBook Air is now shipping as scheduled, and should be available at your local Apple stores, authorized resellers, and the Apple online store. The Air will cost US$ 1,799.

As for the bad news: Apple also announced that the Apple TV update's release has been pushed back by (quoting the press wire) "another week or two." No exact details were disclosed, though the company stated that the update was not quite finished.

As a recap, Apple TV's free software update will enable its owners to rent and purchase movies and music from the iTunes Store directly from the device, negating the need for a computer. We'll let you know in case Apple announces any related updated regarding the delay.
