Apple TV - Image 1Apple TV has been gaining steady improvements over the past months from movie rentals to a Skype plug-in. However, the recent Apple 2.0.1 update may have thrown a wrench into its development.

Over at the Apple support forums, Apple TV users are reporting wireless problems after installing the 2.0.1 update. Complaints have centered around the 5Ghz 802.11n networks. It seems connections only last for a few minutes before it drops again.

Since Apple TV - as a digital media receiver - is largely dependent on online connection, this has been a source of frustration for many Apple users. Fortunately, some easy solutions have been thrown around the forums:
  • switching back to 2.4GHz
  • turning off "use wide channels" do the trick
No definite reason has been pointed out why the 2.0.1 update is causing such disturbance. Rest assured that QJ.NET will report the latest developments as we get them.
