You can never be too rich or too thin, but one sure can overload on passwords! So how do you make it hard for hackers and ID thieves to crack into your accounts without overwhelming your brain cells? You can use the same password for all your web-based accounts, which is the Dodo bird's way of doing things, since you can just imagine the damage if someone got hold of that single password. 1Passwd for the Mac OS X frees your mind from memorizing hundreds of user IDs and passwords. The app manages all your passwords for you with just a single password to unlock all your accounts. But isn't that the same thing as the Dodo way? Not at all. 1Passwd stores all information into its built-in Keychain. This allows you to switch between browsers without divulging your information. You can also synchronize 1Passwd keychain to your Mac to manage your passwords across machines. The app is the first password manager and form filler for the Mac OS X platform and it is designed to work with If you want to test drive 1Passwd, download the free version. Drag the 1Passwd.app file into the Applications folder and run it from there. If you like it, you can purchase the license code. Single user retails for US$ 29.95. The Family License costs US$ 39.95 and can be used by up to three users in the same household. Download: [1Passwd Free Version] |

» Why use this over Apple's Keychain?
What advantage if any does this provide over Apples "keychain'?
Why would I trust some no name joe's over Apple who I love and trust?
I won't thats my final answer. What a waste of time. Do they really expect anyone to pay for something that comes on every version of mac osx?
What idiotic moronic vegabonds.

Well, I'll admit that I initially thought that this sounded like a lot for a "simple keychain app". I was wrong. It's not that expensive for how well it works. In fact, I bought the Family License and am glad that I did. It even comes with a short video that is very well made that plays during the installation IF you want it to do so. All you basically have to do is type in your personal info and import the data from your keychain for each browser that you use. It will allow you to create different "profiles" which is really nice. My wife has a personal and business profile that she can choose depending on if her purchase is for her business or personal. I've already used it tonight for several forms that I had to fill out. It really is a time saver. It used to be so annoying filling out those redundant forms, but now I just click a button, double check the data and I'm done. This really is a well integrated app, and so far it's working beautifully with Safari and even better with Firefox. I highly suggest you try the free version.

I'm sorry, but your comment is far too legible to be from a QJ viewer. I am a Macbook user who is frustrated with
MacOSX's password handling (keychain etc), and if you can successfully convince me that this program will improve things for me, I will purchase this program or donate to the programmer, otherwise I think your comment above is pretty much a bunch of spam.

» You must have a personal interest in the company.
you gotta be kidding me man. your trying to make money off this.
nobody needs it, there is already auto fill and keychain. different people should have their own user accounts and own keychains. you can use fast user switching if you share a machine with your wife.
you have yet to convince me it has any advantage over kechain. what a worthless app.
BTW try using line breaks in your posts, yours is a mess to read like a bad run on sentance.
No Thanks i wont even do the trial. sorry

» At least try it before you bash it.
I'm glad to hear Timmy is at least honest enough to admit his frustration with the keychain. I am told repeatedly by Mac loyalists that their keychain/autofill is all they need, and they refuse to even look at 1Passwd. It is a pity, but it is their loss.
The keychain really is a cool technology, and I love the fact that it comes packaged with OS X. The only problem is the interface to it makes many common functions clunky, and even impossible. This is what 1Passwd aims to fix.
I won't try to convince you of the benefits with this single comment. Instead, please take 2 minutes to jump over to the 1Passwd website (http://1passwd.com) and watch the video. There is also a free version for you to try.
Cheers!
